Confluence of Chandera And Bhaga at Tandi

Tandi is the confluence of two rivers-Chander and Bhaga. Chandera eminent from Chander Tal and Kunzum Pass and Bhaga from Baralacha glaciers. These converge on Tandi and form the mighty river Chander Bhaga and it later on gets the name of Chanab flowing towards Arabian Sea in Pakistan. The photographer has well captured the meeting point of the two rivers. The landscape here clearly defines the road, hamlets, bridge, the adjoining hills and the fields making it very picturesque and lively. Moreover it is a sacred ‘Tirtha’ and pilgrimage centre and Budhhistic Lamaistic devotees and Hindus take the sacred both in this confluence.
