Confluence of Chandera And Bhaga At Tandi

Tandi is the confluence of two rivers - Chandera and Bhaga. Chandera emanates from Chander Tal and Kunzum Pass and Bhaga from Baralacha glacier. These converge on Tandi and from the mighty river Chanderbhaga and it later on gets the name of Chanab flowing towards Arabian Sea in Pakistan. The photographer has well captured the meeting point of the two rivers. The landscape here clearly defines the road, hamlets, bridge, the adjoining hills and fields making it very picturesque and lively. Moreover it is a sacred 'tirtha' and pilgrimage centre and Buddhistic Lamaistic devotees and Hindus take the sacred bath in this confluence.
