Havoc of Flood in Mandi Town

One of the most important shaiva temples in Mandi town is Panchvaktra and it is situated on the confluence of the Beas and Suketi rivers. There are dispersed the rocks, sands and other structure but in heavy and furious rains and floods only the 'mandap' and sanctum samctorum with its 'shikhar', 'aamalok' and 'kakash' are visible. The Beas has inundated the outside walls of the temple of Panchvaktra and has thus encircled it. The waters rising high and higher pay obeisance to Lord Shiva. This leveling by the flood waters and highlighting the temple of Panchvaktra are the hall-marks of this photograph so skillfully taken by the photographer.
