Pangwal on Pilgrimage to Mani Mahesh Via Sach Pass

To come from  killar and Pangi to another difficult but auspicious pilgrimage of Mani Mahesh is no achievement for these residents of Pangi popularly called as Pangwals. The dress of this middle aged Pangwal is very striking - woollen coat, woolen shawl, woolen churidar pajama and the hilly 'pullahas' (footwear). He has the trident with auspicious flags. In his heart is the supreme satisfaction of having 'Darshan' (sight) of Mani Mahesh - the presiding deity of Bharmour Gaderan area. There is  no gainsaying the fact that every person from Chamba has the dream of visiting Mani Mahesh at least once in his or her life.
