Ki Gompa, Spiti

Kaza, the headquarters of Spiti situated at an altitude of 13000 ft. has the distinction of Key monastery and highest village in Asia Kibber. The photographer has aptly captured the majestic locale of Key monastery built in seven storey. It houses the best of 'Thankas' (silk scroll paintings) and sculptures. It is the training centre of Buddhist Lamas and is the biggest monastery in Lahoul and Spiti. In the camera are well captured Key monastery and adjoining huts and down at the foothill Kaza town and the road leading to the highest village of Kibber. It is an oasis in otherwise snow desert of Spiti and of course a 'Must' pilgrimage for Lamaistic devotees and followers.
